David’s a local player from Bridestowe, he came over to the workshop and collected his new guitar –
A Tavy with a Fishman Infinity pickup,
Rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top.
Frank from South Devon also picked up his Lamorna,
With Indian rosewood back and sides, a European spruce top,
Custom purfling and an abalone rosette.
Gordon previously owned a Taw, his new Brook is a custom Lamorna,
With mahogany back and sides, a Sitka top
And gold Statite tuners.
Here’s a Weaver tenor guitar for Paul from Stoke Canon,
Paul brought a mahogany board over that he’d rescued, and we made the body and neck out of it!
We’ve made this rosewood and European spruce Taw for stock, if anyone’s interested in trying it just get in touch.
We were saddened to hear that luthier Charles Fox had died. Charles visited us many years ago and inspired us to make several jigs we still use today – including our version of his famous side bender design pictured here.
