News August 2026
The ford over the brook at the bottom of our lane has dried up completely due to the drought.

Jim came down from Glastonbury to pick up his new Tamar twelve string

With a Sitka top and English cherry back and sides,

Here he is with his Blackwater, Tamar and Taw!

Phil Taylor asked us to fit new Schaller GrandTune tuners to his Lamorna while he was down in Dartmouth on holiday!

John, who we featured last month, came down to spec out a new Taw, he’s chosen this set of English walnut,

And asked us to incorporate some oak from the old pews from St Helen’s Church.

We did a neck reset and refinish on this 1983 Manson nylon strung guitar

And repaired a neck break on this twenty-one year old Tamar

And made up a special jig to aid the repair of the tailpiece from a Doug Kyle arch-top guitar.

Every four or five years we report on the progress of our lime tree –

And remind ourselves that in the early days of Brook Guitars it was the small sapling you see behind Andy and me!

See you next month!
