September 2025
First off this month was a rosewood Blackwater for Robb Johnson.

Here’s Robb playing his twenty year old Tamar, incidentally John, on bass, also has a Teign!

Two guitars went off to Mak’s Guitars, a walnut and Sitka Lyn and a rosewood and Sitka Lamorna. Mak’s moved from his old address in Rathbone Place to 4-11 Galen Place, WC1A 2JR.

Andy delivered a rosewood and Alpine spruce Torridge to Project last week

And we sent a rosewood and Sitka Taw up to Coda.

Andy and Anita went to see Pendragon at their weekender at the Northcott Theatre earlier in the month, here’s a photo of Nick playing his Brook during the acoustic set! The gig was part of their Warriors of Romance tour.

Jon Woode’s latest album Songs of Land and Sea is free to listen to and download here.

If you enjoy it consider giving a donation to the Air Ambulance here.

It’s my turn this month to make up a batch of linings with the jig Andy put together some years ago with the elements of my mother’s old treadle sewing machine. As you can see – we haven’t quite come to terms with the CNC era!

We had two Martins in for neck re-sets,

Here’s an Andy Manson Django Petite Bouche, in for a little TLC.

And finally – a vintage Martin Cole guitar, in for a fret dressing, set-up and to patch up the hole from an unwanted pickup pre-amp.
